Biography
MESSMAKER: Anthemic Indie Rock from Cleveland, Ohio
FOR FANS OF: The Struts, OneRepublic, The Band CAMINO, 21 Pilots, Switchfoot,
Aggressively catchy melodies pair with soul-filled lyrics in MESSMAKER’s refreshing take on indie rock. Lighting up stages since 2022, the Cleveland, Ohio-based 4-piece bring the power of an arena show to every performance, garnering comparisons to acts such as The Struts, OneRepublic, and The Band CAMINO. Built around musical architect Michael McFarland’s songwriting, the lyrics are visceral yet clever as his voice moves from intimate whispers to stadium-sized chants and operatic wails. Joined by George Galactic’s kinetic percussion, Alex McPherson’s tactical guitars and soaring harmonies, and George Chase’s earthshaking low-frequency foundation, the group elevates the material on stage with a seemingly inexhaustible energy. The result? A big, bright slice of anthemic indie rock.
Following their debut EP “Through This Fire”, MESSMAKER has released a series of singles, covers, and collaborations, working with Nate Saggio & Jim Stewart (Welshly Arms, The Happy Fits), and maintained a relentless performance schedule including regional & national tours.
